Frequently Asked Questions
Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions. This page is here to offer a clearer sense of what therapy with me may look like and to answer some of the practical questions people often have before getting started
Are you virtual or in person?
I am currently virtual only. The process of offering in person has started, and I will provide updates as soon as possible.
Do you take insurance?
As of right now, I do not take insurance. The credentialing process with insurance companies has begun, and I will provide updates soon.
Is therapy right for me?
Therapy can be helpful if something in your life feels hard to carry on your own, if you feel overwhelmed or disconnected, or if you want support making meaningful changes. It can also be a place to better understand patterns, strengthen coping, improve relationships, and feel more grounded in daily life
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to begin getting a sense of what brings you in, what feels important to you, and what kind of support may be most helpful. You do not need to have everything figured out before you arrive, and you do not need to tell your whole story all at once
How do I get started?
The first step is reaching out. From there, we can talk about what you are looking for, whether the fit seems right, and what next steps would make sense.
